How long does a shoulder replacement last?

Modern shoulder implants are designed for excellent durability. While every patient is different, we expect the vast majority of shoulder replacements to last for 15 to 20 years, and often even longer. Factors like your activity level, overall health, and following your surgeon's advice after surgery can influence the lifespan of the implant.
